These Gut Healing Alkalising Gelatin Gummies are perfect to help heal the gut, are easy to make and taste great!
Gut health is one of the keys to overall good health, and gelatine is one of the tools to help enhance gut health.
I know I just sent you the other gut healing recipe for the pink gelatine gummies Beetroot and Rose Petal Gummie Marshmallows recently…. But I just had to share this recipe as well, because, well, it’s ideal for this time of the year, when our digestive system can be overwhelmed with all the festivities and gut health can suffer. And, it’s the perfect Christmas deep- green colour.
Make them and give one to every one you know, they will be instantly impressed. I’m sure Santa and his Elves would love one left out on Christmas Eve too!
The deep green chlorophyll has a beautiful alkalizing effect on the system and the gut healing properties of Sarah Wilsons I Quit Sugar Gelatin, makes this the perfect snack.
My health completely turned around when I started focusing on healing my gut so to make a treat that is delicious, and also gut healing is a big TICK in my books.
We like the double bonus of drinking an Imbibe Living Water Kefir at the same time as eating a gummie. The probiotics in the water kefir work in beautiful harmony with the gut-loving gelatin rich gummies.
Here is my recipe, please enjoy, share and send me your snaps! I would love to see your creation.
Gut Healing Alkalising Gelatin Gummies Recipe:
¾ cup water
4 TBSP gelatin (I use Sarah Wilson’s, you can buy it here)
Whisk together in a jug and let it bloom.
Combine ¼ cup honey or 1 tsp stevia (or no sweetner at all)
¾ cup water
35ml chlorophyll (or more or less, depending on your colour and taste preferences)
Whisk with an electric mixer for around 10 min (you can whisk it for longer; the more you whisk, the more marshmallowey the end result will be)
If you have a thermomix, mix at 80C for 10 min at speed 4.
Combine the two sets of ingredients and whisk together to combine.
The longer you whisk, the more fluffy the final result. I whisk mine in the thermomix for 15 mins at speed 3.5 then pour into moulds or into a lined tray.
Once cooled, pop into the fridge to harden up. Then cut into squares, put into a container and keep in the fridge. We have one a day after lunch, or with breakfast, with a glass of Imbibe.
Please share with your loved ones and send me some snaps, with the tag #imbibe
