I’m an alchemist and creator, in love with the healing powers of fermented probiotic products.
My passion is handcrafting a range of sparkling probiotic water kefir drinks, called Imbibe, that aim to put the energy and radiance into your everyday life.
I'm also a creative, passionate and dedicated wife and mother of two gorgeous girls and I believe that external beauty comes from extraordinary health within.
Everything I do at Imbibe is motivated to add more beauty, goodness and energy to your day, so you can get on with the things that most matter to you.
I have amazing health now and I owe it all to Imbibe but it was not always this way.
Let me share how it all began.
How Imbibe Was Born
I’ve always had a zest for life and adventure.
Years spent exploring magical destinations across the globe left me with unforgettable memories: backpacking through the Americas, climbing the Inca Trail to the ancient city of Macchu Picchu and sailing across the Caribbean.
But along the way, I battled an unforgiving string of diseases, including glandular fever, chronic fatigue and malaria. These ailments left me bed-ridden and lethargic and propped up by antibiotics.
After the birth of our second daughter, I suffered year-long chronic mastitis and the wind was well and truly knocked out of my sails.
So I started to ask questions:
What grinch stole my mojo?
Why I am so unwell when I eat so well?
Will I ever feel normal again?
And most crucially: what can I do to get my energy back?
I recalled an encounter with Guatemalan locals six years earlier where I tasted a sacred beverage, Water Kefir, revered for its life-giving properties.
This energising elixir was fresh, slightly sparkling and not too sweet.
But more than the taste: I remembered how it made me feel. I felt amazing.
So I started making my own probiotic drinks at home out of pure necessity in order to heal myself.
With a young bub strapped to my chest and another at my ankles, I began my home fermentation trials, hoping to emulate that magical elixir I had been blessed to receive all those years ago.
I studied the importance of gut health and learned that a probiotic rich diet can help restore the balance and strengthen your immunity.
I spent hours tasting, mixing, stirring, listening.
Watching life spring forth in the dancing bubbles and fizz.
It was a slow and steady start but soon my energy returned and I saw the immediate health effects of this delicious home brew.
I felt energised and alive.
It was truly amazing to see my health literally transform from day to day.
And I fell in love with the fermentation process.
And that’s when I knew I had to share this beauty with the world.
Imbibe is now stocked in around 200 gorgeous retail outlets, with big plans to make the product more widely available so that more people get to experience the energy and radiance that comes with having Imbibe in their life.
I feel like the drink and the cultures are a part of me, that somehow we are connected in the web of life’s giving and receiving.
