This is a simple but easy chocolate bliss ball recipe – minus the dates! Collagen is a protein that we all have in our bodies, it differs from many other proteins as it has a different combination of amino acids that allows our muscles to repair and our skin to glow. These are great as a snack or a dessert and work wonderfully with hemp protein in place of collagen. I keep these in the freezer for when hunger pangs hit and I love the soft chewy texture straight from the freezer, especially in the Aussie heat!
1 cup almond butter
½ cup collagen protein powder
¼ cup cacao
3 tbsp erythritol
1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients until a dough forms. This is best done with hands. Alternatively, this can be done in a blender or food processor. Place into the fridge to let the mixture harden up.
2. Roll into 16 balls and dust with your favourite toppings, or consume as is. Store in the fridge.
