Skin Science: Chrissy

Name: Chrissy

Age: 62

Perspective: “ I think Beauty means, when you’re comfortable in your own skin.”

At IMBIBE, we celebrate what it means to feel beautiful, to feel confident and to feel empowered in your skin - at every age, at every stage and in every way.

It’s the mission we honour most, and one we want to share along the way.

And what we know is that every woman, every person, carries their own story about what it means to them to feel incomparable in their skin; All we had to do was ask.

“Constantly reinventing myself, trying new things and aging gracefully. Being the true trailblazer that I am.”

This is Chrissy.

Mother of four, Grandmother of four and absolute powerhouse of confidence and articulate beauty, Chrissy is a true firecracker of spirit and wisdom. She brought a sense of confidence and radiance that only a woman who truly knows who she is can bring.

What makes you feel most beautiful in your skin?

I think accepting my age and who I am at this stage of my life. Feeling confident and truly valued.

What are you looking forward to about ageing in your body?

Constantly reinventing myself, trying new things and aging gracefully. Being the true trailblazer that I am.

What did you love the most about being a part of our Skincare Photoshoot?

Being part of the Imbibe photo shoot was so much fun. Everybody was so warm and friendly and Felicity made sure everyone was comfortable and happy.

“ I can't remember exactly how old I was but I remember when thin eyebrows came in. I decided plucking was too hard so I shaved them. My mother nearly had a fit. ”

Which step in our range are you most excited for?

Naturally I am excited to try the whole range. The konjac sponge to begin with. I like how you can use it to take your makeup off and then use it as a daily exfoliator. It is an essential step for sure to prepare your skin for your serum and moisturiser.

What is one beauty trend you wish you’d never met?

I can't remember exactly how old I was but I remember when thin eyebrows came in. I decided plucking was too hard so I shaved them. My mother nearly had a fit. My eyebrows were perfect and I was never able to get them quite the same again.
