This is Kamya.
Bringing an inherent softness to her incredible sense of self, Kamya exudes confidence and wisdom through her views on aging and beauty, from the inside out.
What makes you feel most beautiful in your skin?
Being grounded in me, centered in my values and knowledge rather than looking outward for approval or validation is liberating. I highly recommend ageing to everyone for that alone! I do sometimes wish I was this accepting of myself when I was younger, back then I always felt I wasn’t enough and compared myself to others all the time to come up short. But when I look at pictures of myself younger, I think how foolish that was.
What are you looking forward to about ageing in your body?
Well I guess we are all ageing from our early 20’s so it’s happening! And I think the perspective I am grateful to have now at 58, is to keep letting go of the fear of getting or looking older. That’s really a challenge because the world we live in values youth above all else. And women are harmed by that expectation, we forego the power we gain as we age, for looking younger. So I wouldn’t trade my sense of self that I have now for my youthful looks.
What did you love the most about being a part of our Skincare Photoshoot?
It was really special to part of a group of intergenerational womxn and do photos together with another mature model. Congratulations to Imbibe for that representation. And to see my amazing daughter Ella Jane in action ; )

Which step in our range are you most excited for?
I’ve really loved the probiotic and am looking forward to trying the collagen restore and protect. These both sound like such amazing products that are organic! Just what I’ve been waiting for.
What is one beauty trend you wish you’d never met?
I’ve never really followed beauty trends but really love how a courageous few are making a shift toward a holistic perspective of our personal and planetary health. Beauty from within is so much more in alignment with our feminine knowing and an understanding that our wellbeing is interconnected to the wellbeing of all other people, the natural world and our mother earth.
