I’ve been wanting to write this note to you for a long time and now as I’m getting ready to bring our third baby into the world and take some maternity leave I feel the time is right.
I started imbibe in 2014 in my kitchen with nothing but a desire to get well again.
With two small daughters to care for, a whole range of digestive and other health challenges, a looming autoimmune diagnosis and postnatal depletion my health was a far far far way away from where I needed it to be.
Like really far.
I was not the picture of health that I desperately wanted to be so that I could truly be there for my family.
So, my “kitchen trials”, as I call them, starting with homemade probiotic drinks, was an entry into a whole new world - a world where by supplementing my diet with living, life giving probiotics and collagen containing foods - was the entry point to inching closer to wellness.
Fast forward to now and I’ve overcome infertility and am now pregnant at 38, have healed my gut health, my raging gut autoimmune condition is under control and my skin and hair is looking better at 38 than it did at 28.
So, why am I sharing this with you?
In an increasingly over saturated “wellness” space where products are literally rushed to market in a few weeks to capatilise on the latest trend before doing it all over again (rinse and repeat), we’re just not like that.
Our products take time - a lot of it - to get right.
I work with our expert teams of scientists and microbiologists in Australia to bring to you the most well researched and bioactive and bio available range.
If the products I’m testing don’t work for me - a woman very much in the trenches of working full time and raising a family (read: Busy! Overstretched! Plate overflowing!) - I simply won't release them.
Trust me, I’ve let go of thousands of dollars and good-enough products because through my rounds of testing they have not performed well enough for me.
"Being 100% family owned and operated (my husband left a career as an environmental engineer and is now our GM) means that we aren’t at the mercy like so many other companies in this sector who are owned by VCs and shareholders pushing for profit over everything."
“When profit becomes the #1 driver in a so-called wellness business you can be guaranteed of one thing: your best interests aren’t first and foremost. And the potency and activity of the products will be compromised. So yes, we’re different.”
Because every product I bring to you is the cornerstone of my personal health and wellness and therefore of my family's health and wellness I am obsessed with getting it right.
I also put a lot of effort into sourcing and knowing where the raw ingredients come from.
For example our collagen doesn’t come from unsustainable factory farmed fish.
We work with global small scale farmers who have certified livestock welfare practises in place and strict no GMO, pesticides or chemicals used on the cattle to ensure it’s safe for you.
We undergo rigorous heavy metal testing on the products to ensure they are clean.
Our Beauty Renewal probiotic takes 28 days over 5-stages to make for you.

We source the herbs we use in our Protect product from organic farms where they are handpicked from the fruiting bodies only then typically sun dried, if that is what the botanical calls for, before making it into our blends.
Our Byron HQ is powered by renewable energy, we use carbon neutral couriers as much as we can and have biodegradable and recyclable packaging.
We have a long way to go and are working on a new range of products which I believe will further re-define this category and prove that 100% clean, Australian made and high function can also be sustainable.

Thank you so much for being on this journey with me.
I’m incredibly grateful for you.
I’ll be heading off on maternity leave at the end of this year, leaving my husband and amazing team to take good care of you.
We’re always here, if you’d like to get in touch, hit reply or give us a call.
We’re always here to help and listen.
With all my love,
